These testimonies are from people who have come into Healing Rooms in Scotland. Permission has been granted by each person to share them here.

Arthritis Healed – Mary, Glasgow
I came along to the Healing Rooms to be prayed with as I have had very bad arthritis for a long time, especially in my right hand. I have been healed and I feel alive for the first time in many years (the depression that had been over me has gone too!) I know that God is in my life and I feel full up and much more positive than I have for a long time. I am writing this testimony at speed with my right hand, yahoo! I hadn’t been able to write for such a long time.
Tumour pain gone – Alex, Edinburgh
About 6 years ago I was diagnosed with a large cancer tumour in my throat. I went through lots of treatment and made a slow recovery. A couple of months ago the pain returned. My doctor prescribed strong pain killers I had to take all the time. About 4 weeks ago my sister told me about some people that she went to see in the local Healing Rooms. She said they helped her, so I told her I might go with her sometime. A week later I saw Tom from the Healing Rooms. I was just leaving the house at the time and I told him I was planning on coming to the Rooms. He said that my sister had told him I was having problems and he asked if he could say a prayer for me ‘right now’. I agreed. He placed his hand on my shoulder and prayed. I thanked him and I felt better for the unusual experience. I was going to see him again at the Healing Rooms if I was still in pain, but I swear on a stack of bibles, the pain has never returned! I saw Tom on the street a few weeks ago and I thanked him. He said ‘don’t thank me, thank God’. (The pain has still not returned!!)
Damaged liver restored! – Jimmy, Paisley
When I first came to the Healing Rooms in Paisley I was a very unwell and had a yellowish complexion which was a tell tale sign that my liver was not functioning properly. Strong medication for a heart condition had been damaging my liver over a period of time and tests at the hospital confirmed this. The bad news was that I was told that the damage was irreparable and the liver could not regenerate.
After receiving prayer for healing a few times I began to feel much better and my colour markedly changed. Subsequent tests at the hospital showed that my liver was now fully functioning once more.
Freedom from hip pain – Mairi, Edinburgh
I came for prayer last Wednesday (22.8.07) for a very painful hip and back (the hip had been troublesome for years, steadily growing worse over the years) and my back had been very painful for about 2-3 weeks. When the team had prayed for me, they said that God was saying that there was no cartilage in my hip. They then prayed that the cartilage would be restored. I felt a few little movements in my hip. It felt better instantly. It was over the next 2 days I really noticed a difference. There was a sharp raw pain before prayer and this went after prayer. There is still some awkwardness in the joint when I sit in certain positions but overall my hip is about 80-90% better than it was and the back pain has gone!
Free from depression – Judith, Edinburgh
I have suffered from clinical depression twice in my life. The first time was when I was in my early twenties. This episode lasted just over one year and I was placed on antidepressants by my GP, which had an almost immediate and positive effect. 15 years later, due to being in a stressful situation in my workplace, I began to suffer again. This time the depression was atypical, unlike the first time, and showed itself in a total lack of energy, an inability to make the most simple of decisions like do I want a cup of tea or coffee? My thought processes slowed down to the extent that my speech became slurred and my limbs felt so heavy that I felt they would sink though the bed in which I was lying, to the floor. This was a very frightening time for me, although even fear was a little too energetic an emotion at that time, apathy ruled, my family were alarmed to see a calm, capable, strong person reduced to a shadow of her former self. I was placed on medication again and slowly returned to normal. After 1 year I discontinued the medication, reducing the dose over 6 months and suffered horrendous side effects in the process.
In December of 2006, I began to feel myself heading downwards mentally once more. I also was stricken by an awful fear of getting worse, like I was looking over the edge into a big black hole and that the blackness was going to swallow me up. In my fear, I rang Marjory, whom I’d only met once before but my desperation wiped out my normal reticence, and asked her to pray for me. She invited me to the Healing Rooms, and my husband took me that week.
I found the people at the Healing Rooms to be warm, friendly and compassionate. They were also extremely professional in their approach, making me feel safe in their care. God answered our prayers (for that is how it felt, these people were united with me in petitioning God for my health) and delivered me from the onset of depression. I returned home and began to feel better as the week progressed. Not only that but my fear of becoming ill again was also taken from me, and I was given such words of encouragement from God that I was filled with hope for the future instead of fear. As the bible says ‘perfect Love casts out all fear’ and Praise God, He has indeed cast out my fear and taken my disease from me.

Years of back pain gone! – Jeanie, Larkhall
After attending my G.P. for years and undergoing courses of physiotherapy I was referred to a consultant. I had an M.R.I. scan which showed that my spine had narrowed and was touching my spinal chord causing pain and stiffness in my shoulders back and legs, and also causing numbness in my hands. I was wakened up every night with the pain.
I went to the Healing Rooms and was prayed for once. I can now run up stairs, have no pain or numbness and have slept every night since. My G.P. was amazed and has been telling people about this remarkable healing.
Cancerous lesion falls off! – Anne-Morag , Kinross
I came to Kinross Healing Rooms for prayer for a cancerous lesion on my right eyelid some weeks ago. Meanwhile I had appointments to see an Eye Consultant and a date for an operation to cut out the lesion. When I saw the Consultant I spoke to him about having prayer to heal the lesion. He accepted what I said and advised me to cancel the operation if the lesion is healed! The lesion actually got worse which challenged me greatly. But I felt I had to keep declaring that God was going to remove it. It took the whole day of choosing to believe that God does heal. The next day the lesion came off as I was having a bath….Praise God! I was then able to cancel the operation.
ME going, going, gone! – Pat, Edinburgh
I came to Healing Rooms about six weeks ago for healing prayer. I had suffered since 1990 from effects of ME due to a virus. This caused damage to the central nervous system, immune system, organ failure, back pain and muscle spasms. From my first visit I felt relief and ease in my back, no more pain! Like a miracle everything started to respond and my health is improving each time I go. I can run up stairs for the first time in years, instead of having to use the lift. My back is not painful now and energy has improved. I can walk longer distance, my whole body has healed and still healing in parts. As well as the healing I have improved feelings of well being and happiness.
Fractured spine and curvature healed! – Ann, Alloa
I had suffered severe back pain for years and was diagnosed with Osteoporosis causing a fractured spine and curvature. I found it difficult to walk or get around and was in constant pain. I visited Alloa healing rooms in November and within a short time of receiving prayer, the pain eased so much that I was able to walk quite a distance. I know that God has worked his healing power through the Healing Rooms team. A short time later, I realised that the curvature in my spine had disappeared. I explained to my doctor that this was so. My fracture spine is now perfectly straight and I now no longer need any morphine pain relieving patches. Since God healed (me) at Alloa Healing Rooms, I give praise and thanks to God every day.
Chronic pain gone! – Jeanette, Inverclyde
After suffering many years of chronic pain on the lower right side of my abdomen, I felt I had to do something. Some days it was if my whole body was aching all over. I had enough, I decided I was going to hand myself over to the hands of God’s workers, and visited the healing rooms in the Greenock mall. As three of a team began praying over me, I felt a relief, a change happened in my body from the feet upward. I actually felt the aching disappear and then all the way to the very tip of my head. All the pain had gone! As I left the healing room, I virtually hopped and skipped all the way. I also began reading the suggested scriptures in the free bible kindly given to me by the group in the healing room. This has also changed my life enormously. I took my brother in a few weeks later; he has suffered mental health problems and health problems for many years. The transformation in him following a healing was truly, truly glorious!
